If you don't want to use Illusion, don't use Illusion. Morrowind is a pretty flexible game. But both of these decisions make your individual playthrough more difficult than playing a superior race with every tool at your disposal, which is what this list is based on. A diplomat play style isn't really supported by vanilla Morrowind.
